Heath Hayes Community Coffee Shop
Community Hobby and Gaming Spaces is in the process of signing a lease for our first gaming space, a smaller Board Game Cafe. We hope this will be a stepping stone for us to raise funds to open a bigger space in Walsall.

Heath Hayes is home for us here at CH&GS, so we have decided to open our first space in our little village. Our founder, Dan, had a game store in Cannock but had to close it when stock started to be restricted after COVID-19. We now want to open a community space and ensure it stays open for the people of Cannock.

The small store is a refurbished blank canvas that only needs a simple fit-out and some decorating. The landlord was very impressed with our business plan, loves what we're doing, and looks forward to us creating a lovely little Coffee Shop for both the local community of Heath Hayes and a play space for the gaming community in Cannock.

Our crowdfunder is now active, raising funds to fit out our new Community Coffee Shop:

We need £10,000 to fit out the community coffee shop. The most significant cost is the kitchen and counter area, and the materials cost £4100. There will then be another storage area in the back room, which will need units, a counter and a sink, which will be around £800 - £1000. So, half the budget is gone already! We then need to get the kitchen fitted, which will cost £1000, and the plumbing and electrical work will cost another £1000. Flooring will cost around £1500. That will leave us with £1500 to get food, drinks and other stock, as long as there are no other unexpected costs.

Once the coffee shop is open, we already have plans for a local mental health organisation and a charity working with people with autism to come and host events there. We'll also have specialist game nights, with board game nights, Pokemon card nights, and various other activities depending on demand.
